LATE NIGHT CRAVINGS

The other night I had an old, familiar thought creep into my mind around 10:15. "Let's eat something" my mind told me. I walked past the kitchen thinking it probably wouldn't hurt, but maybe I'd wait a minute and think about it.

After thinking about it for a minute I decided I'd just go get a glass of water. I was feeling good about myself and there wasn't a reason to eat, I was just bored.

2 months ago I would have spent the next hour eating basically anything I could have found in the kitchen, not because I was hungry, but just as a way to beat boredom or stress. I'd then go to bed feeling unwell and frustrated.

Developing strong eating habits (like avoiding excess snacking) have made me feel so much better about myself each day.

Recent small wins:

- I wanted to work out more this week. I've been consistent at doing so. It's felt great, even when it wasn't fun in the moment.

- My boys and I have started doing bike rides together. Getting a bike was a gamechanger in our house. I love it and it's great quality time.
