The Journey to 100 Begins... Again

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to run 100 miles . Not because I’m fast. Not because I love running (spoiler: sometimes I don’t). But because there’s something about that distance...  triple digits...  that’s always fascinated me. It’s not just physical. It’s deeply mental. It demands something more than muscles or mileage. And that’s what I want to confront: the mental wall that shows up around mile 60… 70… 90… and says, “You can’t go any farther.”  I’ve stared down that wall before, sort of. 16 months ago , I finished a marathon. 26.2 miles. It was a huge milestone, something I trained hard for and felt proud of. But somewhere along the way, life crept in. Work, family, stress, injuries, excuses. I stopped running. And I never really started again. Since then, I’ve gained a lot of weight. I’ve lost fitness. But I haven’t lost the fire to see if I can go the distance. And today, I started. Day One Not with a long run. Not with a training plan...
